Buffalo Trace Distillery offers three distinct tours year-round:
Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Tours start on the hour and are complimentary.

The Trace Tour is a journey through the origins of Buffalo Trace Distillery,
bourbon in Kentucky and Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
Experience a century-old aging warehouse. Walk down the line of our hand bottling
hall where all of our premium bourbons receive lots of TLC before leaving the distillery.

The Hard Hat Tour takes guests behind the scenes of the bourbon-making process
to see where the magic happens. From the grain delivery to the cooking process to the fermentation
tanks, you will see it all firsthand. This tour is available during distilling season. Please call for reservations.

The Post Prohibition Tour exposes visitors to the architecture and history of
the post-Prohibition bourbon industry. The end of Prohibition was a new beginning for the Distillery.
Buffalo Trace survived Prohibition as one of only four distilleries to remain operational
for medicinal purposes, and with repeal, America was suddenly a very thirsty nation again.
Witness the building boom that occurred during this time (1930-1950) and get a peek at some
of the future plans for Buffalo Trace Distillery. Please call for tour times.

Bourbon Discovery Tour:
Take a guided educational tour through the distillery that explains the history of bourbon, how we're unique at all five sources of flavor, the bottling process, and much more. At the end of the tour, guests 21 and over can taste our award-winning Craft Bourbon for themselves in the Visitor Center.For groups of 18 or more, please make a reservation by calling our representative at 859-879-1934.
After your tour, stop by our gift shop to find authentic Craft Bourbon merchandise and more.
Maximum of 25 guests per tour. The tour is offered 7 days a week. Monday thru Saturday: 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm
Sunday (April-December): 1pm, 2pm, 3pm

National Historic Landmark Tour
Join us for a two-hour session that educates guests on the cultural and architectural evolution of the Woodford Reserve Distillery. This cultural tour also explores the history and architecture of the property and its impact on Kentucky heritage. Reservations are required and can be made online or by calling our representative at 859-879-1934.
After your tour, stop by our gift shop to find authentic Craft Bourbon merchandise and more.
Maximum of 25 guests per tour. Offered Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday at 11:30am. By appointment only. (Tickets sell out quickly, so please make your reservations at least one week in advance.) Tickets are $25 per person.

Corn To Cork Tour:
Immerse yourself in this two-hour session that explores the mechanical, chemical, technical and œsensory aspects of producing bourbon. This in-depth tour covers even more aspects of all five sources of flavor found throughout the bourbon-making process than our Bourbon Discovery Tour. Reservations are required and can be made online or by calling our representative at 859-879-1934.
After your tour, stop by our gift shop to find authentic Craft Bourbon merchandise and more. Maximum of 6 guests per tour. Offered Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 9:30am. By appointment only. (Tickets sell out quickly, so please make your reservations at least one week in advance.) Tickets are $25 per person.

The distillery is open on holidays except for Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

All times are Eastern Time. (We're closed on Sundays in January and February.) We conduct tours every hour on the half hour. All tours are free of charge.

Please note: Due to construction, our barrel warehouse will not be accessible starting Monday, December, 12, 2011.

Buses: Maker's Mark welcomes buses Tuesday-Thursday, 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Please call 270-865-2099 for reservations. Service animals are permitted with verification. You must be 21 or older to dip your own bottle.
